The Andrew Jackson First Spouse gold coin had been released in 2008. This gold coin is seventh in the series of gold coins produced by the U.S. Mint. Though President Jackson did not have a wife during his own term in office, the coin features a rendition of Liberty during his own political era.
The front part of the coin features Liberty, and had been sketched and brought to life by J. Reich. The back side of the gold coin, which is the working of J. Kunz and D. Everhart, showcases a rendition of the former President Jackson in New Orleans. The famed battle that had taken place in New Orleans remains one of the turning points in early American history.
The coins had been released publicly on the 28th of August. The total number of coins produced was forty thousand gold coins. Fortunately for collectors the coins remain for sale at the Mint.
