First Spouse Gold Coin Auctions
The First Spouse gold coins, minted in the United States have increasingly become popular to coin collectors and ordinary enthusiasts from around the country and in some cases, from around the world. The collection features portraits and important events in the lives of the First Ladies of the United States, as the United States Mint pays tribute to these strong First Ladies who have helped shape the history of the democracy.
The first of these coins featured Martha Washington, and had been sold out on the first day of its release at a record breaking three hours and thirty minutes.
The U.S. Mint had been swamped with orders during the first releases of the gold coins, and the excitement and enthusiasm for the one of a kind gold coin has allowed further releases of other First Ladies. To date, there are seven gold coins in this series for sale at the U.S. Mint, with the eight gold coins due this year.
Today, there is a thriving community of coin collectors eagerly selling and buying these collectible gold coins through various online stores and auctions, offering them for as low five hundred dollars to record highs of more than one thousand five hundred dollars for the complete set.
